Quick bite: Tomo Cafe - a maid and butler cafe

(blogging while waiting for the order)

I'll get straight to the point.

Boo boos
Word got around that Tomo Cafe - a maid & butler cafe - was an anime lover's haven. It's situated in what used to be Bambi Beltran's relocated Kukuk's Nest. I've been my son's maid and my husband's occasional butler, but the cafe wasn't able to deliver its implied promise of a keeping-up-with-the-Joneses treatment. Not on that day, anyway.  Our maid, clad in a suggestive suit, just waited on our table. It was purely  a waitressing service.  It was their 2nd day since they opened, so I let it go easily.

Their double doors will open to a wall hitched with action figures and an LED TV bearing anime shows, but quite pensively, the cafe also houses Korean-milk-tea-cafe decors. Is there a culture clash, you think, or an inaccurate gut feel?

The guard wasn't very helpful and the parking space is worse.

Wins
Tomo has an abandoned vacay house charm in it that it encourages one to abandon her table manners and laugh a little bit louder or finish off dessert with a slurping sound (within everyone's earshot) - a great place for friends or that comfy 7th date. "Tomo" is short for the Japanese word "tomodachi" after all (which means "making friends").

Should you opt for more greens, a garden patio surrenders to your visual (and respiratory) needs.

By far, I think I've tasted the best Omu rice in Cebu.

Hello Ms. Jareliese,

Thank you so much for your review. Rest assured that we are currently working on the leveling and paving of the right side space just after you enter the gate. Creation of that parking space was delayed due to a previous tenant still occupying said space, but now they've vacated. As for service, yes we are continuously asking for feedback and informing our staff on how to provide better service. So all you've written here are very helpful to us. Regarding the design, we always had the French cottage/Victorian design in mind.

As for the food, we are glad that you liked our omurice. Once again, thank you very much for the review. Rest assured that we take feedback seriously and are continuously working on improving things. Domo arigatou gozaimasu! :)
